IPAF accredited training courses for users, managers and demonstrators of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Our courses are ideal for those looking for MEWP training, Scissor Lift training, Cherry Picker training, Vertical Platform training and Static, Self-Propelled, Telescopic and Articulating Boom training.

Our IPAF training is recognised by the Main Contractors Group (MCG) and can be delivered Monday – Saturday either on-site for your convenience (with the exception of the IPAF PAL+ Training course) or at our training depots based in Chelmsford and Southend (Rochford) in Essex. The close proximity of mainline rail services and London Southend Airport (both less than 1 mile away from our Southend depot) make our IPAF training courses ideal for delegates from all over Essex, London, Kent and further afield.

Our courses:

Our IPAF Operator training course is suitable for users of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). It is ideal for those looking for MEWP training, Scissor Lift training and Cherry Picker training.

IPAF Demonstrator Training

Our IPAF Demonstrator training course is designed for people that need to familiarise Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) operators with their responsibilities, demonstrate pre-operational and safe operating procedures and advise on the limitations of MEWPs.

Our IPAF PAL Plus training course is suitable for Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) operators working in higher risk or more challenging environments. This course is designed for skilled operators that already hold a current IPAF PAL Card requiring further IPAF operator training. Please note that we are unable to offer on-site training for this particular course.

Our IPAF MEWPs for Managers training course is designed to educate delegates on what is required to prepare for and safely coordinate various types of MEWPS within a supervisor or manager’s control, including selecting the correct machine for the job and relevant legislation.

Our own Harness training course caters for those that wear safety harnesses when using MEWPs. We recommend that delegates undertake our General Harness course as this will cover the use of harnesses in all circumstances.

Our IPAF Load/Unload training course is ideal for those involved in the safe loading and unloading of MEWPs on beavertail and slide bed transport vehicles, including carrying out inspections and risk assessments and understanding legislation.

We recommend that delegates undertake the IPAF Operator training course (Category 3A) as this will cover the use of Push Around Vehicles (PAVs), as well as scissor lifts.
